Khaberni - An electronic breach of bus station screens in several Israeli cities caused confusion and panic among passers-by, after the screens began broadcasting Arabic chants and an audio recording similar to the voice of Hamas’s Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Ubaida, threatening to retaliate against the occupation’s aggressions.

Activists and Israeli media circulated video clips showing the screens broadcasting Takbir chants and Quranic verses, alongside an audio clip similar to the voice of Abu Ubaida, in an incident described as "unprecedented" in public transport systems.

Channel 14 of Israel reported that an electronic screen at a bus station in Modi'in broadcast Arabic clips including "Allahu Akbar," before the system stopped working.

It explained that the National Cyber Security Authority was informed of the incident, and initial assessments indicated “a nationalistic cyber attack”.

In the same context, the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that hackers took control of the digital information screens at several stations including Ashdod and Ramat Gan, and broadcast sounds similar to alarm sirens and recorded clips, leading to a state of panic among passengers.

The paper added that the Ministry of Transportation has opened an investigation into the source of the attack, which lasted only a few minutes before the screens returned to broadcasting their usual content.

It is noted that the fate of Abu Ubaida - known for his sharp voice and inciting messages - remains unclear since Israel announced his assassination last August, while Hamas has not issued any official comment on it.
