Khaberni - The Supervisory Committee on the Elections of the Jordanian Medical Association for the thirty-fifth session, formed by the General Assembly, decided to invalidate the nomination of colleague Dr. Shawqi Subhah for lacking Jordanian nationality, a fundamental requirement stipulated in the Association’s law. Consequently, his membership in the council was invalidated in compliance with section 24/b of the Jordanian Medical Association Law.
Based on the provisions of section 33/d of the same law, it was decided to invite the candidate who received the highest number of votes after the elected members, Dr. Shaher Abu Hudaib, to assume the vacant seat on the council.
In the same context, given that the Medical Association has offices in Amman and Jerusalem and to continue the presence of the Jerusalem office in the consciousness of the Jordanian union, official settings, and union traditions, the council decided to invite Dr. Salahuddin Al-Hishlamoun, the head of the Jerusalem office, to join the council meetings and to keep up with the office’s affairs.
