Mohamed Sobhi cries on air Death is a blessing video

Khaberni - The artist Mohamed Sobhi reassured his audience about his health condition after the sudden illness he experienced weeks ago, and clarified that he was infected with a rare virus that resides in the brain for 14 days, confirming that the treatment journey was "harsh and painful", and that the crisis recurred twice due to his not fully committing to the treatment the first time.

During his episode with the media personality Lamis Elhadidi on the program "The Image" via Al-Nahar channel, Sobhi revealed that he lived through tough moments, saying: "I wanted to die to try the other life. I see my life as a rehearsal", adding that "the illness changed his outlook on matters and made him more determined to achieve what has not yet been achieved", and he added that he felt the genuine love of the audience, and that the tears of his granddaughter due to rumors of his death were among the most painful moments for him.

In his talk about the promotion of rumors of his death, Sobhi said that some pages "jumped on the trend" at the expense of people’s feelings, adding "Death is a blessing from God, but spreading rumors mercilessly is inhumane".

During the episode, Sobhi reviewed the crises that coincided with his illness, as a fire broke out in his theater just two days after he left the hospital, and then another fire broke out in his house, confirming that the losses were significant, but were controlled.

Lamis Elhadidi filmed the episode in Sinbel City for the Arts, explaining that the city is not just a place, but represents "the great artist Mohamed Sobhi's dream" through which he wanted to present a different kind of art that combines creativity, thought, and culture, away from traditionalism, and said: "A unique city established by the artist Mohamed Sobhi in 1994, meaning its age is now about 31 years".

The artist confirmed during his conversation with Elhadidi that the market for Egyptian drama and cinema suffers from a significant flaw in artistic and ethical standards, and expressed his concern about the prevalence of works containing inappropriate language and behaviors, wondering about the absence of censorship and accountability.

In response to a question from Lamis Elhadidi about who produced Mohamed Sobhi artistically, the artist clarified that those who contributed to his artistic formation are giants of Egyptian theater and drama, such as Fouad Al-Mohandes and Saad Ardash, and Sobhi mentioned that these were always guiding him and correcting his phrases, noting that Fouad Al-Mohandes would reject some dual-meaning sentences, describing them as "improper".

Sobhi added "Today we have reached a time where there are few who say (improper), and we will reach a time where we will find no one to say this behavior is unacceptable", expressing his dismay at the clear contradiction in the current artistic scene.

Sobhi mentioned that some young female artists have become known through social media apps like "TikTok", and participated with disgraceful language in short clips, although they are part of dramatic works, which he considered a violation of artistic norms and values.

The artist recalled his memories with his late wife, artist Nevin Ramez, speaking about her with touching words that reveal the extent of her role in his artistic and personal life, and revealed the reason he wrote "The meeting is soon" in his last posts, saying: "A man believes he creates his future, but the truth is that Nevin is the one who made my future, and fought until I became a star."

In conclusion, Mohamed Sobhi affirmed that he has completely recovered and is preparing for a new stage of work and contribution, expressing his gratitude to everyone who supported and stood by him during his crisis, affirming that the future holds a lot of artistic projects through which he aspires to present sophisticated and meaningful art.
