Khaberni - The Council of Deans at the Middle East University has decided to promote the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr. Ramez Mohamed Abu Hasira, to the rank of Associate Professor.
Dr. Abu Hasira is a member of the editorial board of several prestigious international scientific journals listed in the Scopus database, and has participated in the peer review of dozens of specialized research in journalism and communications at both local and international levels. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications in those journals.
Since joining the Faculty of Media at Middle East University in 2021, Dr. Abu Hasira has held a number of academic positions, starting as the Head of the Journalism and Media Department in 2023, then as the Deputy Dean in 2024, until his appointment as the Dean of the Faculty in 2025.
Dr. Abu Hasira also served as a part-time lecturer at the Graduate College – Department of Master’s in Cinema and Television at An-Najah National University, which added diverse experiences in teaching and research supervision to his academic credentials and contributed to enhancing the college's presence at both local and regional levels.
