Khaberni - The Google Developers Group - Al-Zaytoonah (GDG on Campus – ZUJ) at the Faculty of Science and Information Technology at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized the Gemini Day 2025 event, which was part of a broad regional activity covering the Middle East and Turkey, and witnessed notable attendance from students of various disciplines and Jordanian universities.

The event started with an opening session presented by Professor Dr. Ayyash Al-Haroub, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology and the academic supervisor of the group, attended by GDG coordinator in Jordan, Lian Zahida. Huda Bani Mustafa, the club president, delivered an introductory speech where she outlined the vision and goals of the group, which is part of the global Google Developers network, including nine active groups in Jordan.

Engineer Rami Al-Damati, a strategic expert in the metaverse and artificial intelligence in Saudi Arabia and Italy, conducted a practical training workshop on Gemini technologies and their applications in practical reality, and explained how to activate Gemini Pro for free for university students. The event also included live experiments with Infinix devices using Gemini, in addition to presenting awards to students who won the Prompt Engineering challenge specially designed for the event.

Gemini Day included a range of booths for leading Jordanian and global technology companies, such as: Infinix, Digital Solutions, Tech Arabi Platform, and ElectroRAI for robotics, where these entities provided practical explanations about employing artificial intelligence and Gemini technologies in their businesses and projects.

In the spirit of student collaboration, GDG teams from several Jordanian universities participated in the event, including: GDG Zarqa University, and GDG Applied Science Private University. The GDG Al-Zaytoonah booth showcased a series of interactive experiments and competitions, with prizes distributed to the winners, in addition to practical activities like a drawing challenge using Nano Banana and various experiments on Google technologies within the Gemini ecosystem.

Gemini Day 2025 aims to connect students with the latest artificial intelligence technologies, enable them to acquire practical skills using Google tools, and enhance communication between students and the local and global labor market in the fields of technology and innovation.
