Khaberni - Minister of Health Ibrahim Al-Badour revealed the ministry's direction to appoint 3,000 new employees next year.

Al-Badour added, during the discussion by the Parliamentary Finance Committee on the ministry's budget on Wednesday, that 28 hospitals, 60 health centers, and warehouses belonging to the ministry are currently operating on renewable energy, which has saved about 8 million dinars in electricity bills.

Al-Badour referred to the launch of a medication delivery service after a study showed that 50% of medical prescriptions are monthly. He clarified that it has been decided to deliver monthly medications in hospitals from 1 to 5 PM, and in health centers from 1 to 4 PM, in addition to an approved electronic application to reduce pressure on visitors.

He explained that the ministry has completed the computerization of the inventory management system in five provinces, and work is ongoing to complete it in the remaining provinces.

Regarding MRI services, Al-Badour explained that the ministry has devised a plan to organize the queue and appointments, where the number of images on the waiting list decreased from 26,000 to 5,400 within two months of implementing the new system, with the anticipation of completing them before the end of the year.

He pointed out the connection of five hospitals to an electronic system that allows remote monitoring with patients, noting that the mortality rate in Al Ramtha Hospital reached zero last month as a result of using this service, with plans to connect seven additional hospitals over the next month.

The minister confirmed the ministry's effort to make health centers the first gateway for receiving healthcare in order to relieve pressure on hospitals.
