Khaberni - In the context of the pursuit of Amman Arab University and the Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship to support students with creative and innovative projects, and to provide opportunities for them to participate in events aimed at enriching their experiences and developing their projects, graduates of Amman Arab University participated in the GreenXMENA 2025 Challenge, namely: Engineer Samira Daweek, Engineer Khadija Shaheen, and Engineer Lara Merian.
The challenge witnessed a broad and distinguished participation from various parts of the Arab World and North Africa, with (22) countries participating with approximately (300) innovative ideas aimed at addressing climate and environmental challenges, and (30) ideas qualified to the semifinal stage after undergoing an intensive training program that lasted for two weeks, presented by a group of experts in the fields of entrepreneurship, climate, health, engineering, and artificial intelligence. This training provided an opportunity to enhance the ideas and refine them through practical tools that contribute to increasing their impact and enhancing their feasibility for application on the ground.
The participation of the graduates of Amman Arab University was represented by proposing an entrepreneurial idea titled: "An Innovative Approach to Sludge Management for the Production of Sustainable Building Materials", which is an initiative aimed at transforming the challenges of sludge management into practical solutions through its re-employment in the manufacture of environmentally friendly building materials, contributing to reducing environmental impacts and promoting the orientation towards sustainable construction in the region.
This participation came with support from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, which continues to enable students and graduates to develop impactful entrepreneurial ideas, and enhance the culture of innovation and sustainability through its various programs and initiatives.
