Khaberni - The Saudi-Lebanese security cooperation thwarted an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into Lebanese territories.
A statement issued by the Lebanese Internal Security Forces on platform "X" clarified Beirut’s firm commitment to combating smuggling attempts, and its rejection of using its territory as a transit point or a platform to harm its interests and relations with brotherly nations.
In the same context, Lebanon praised the ongoing security cooperation with Saudi Arabia, which resulted in thwarting an attempt to bring a quantity of drugs into Lebanon, as part of the Lebanese Ministry of Interior’s strategy to combat drugs.
The Lebanese Minister of Interior, Brigadier General Ahmad Al-Hajjar, confirmed to "Alarabiya.net" the constant and close coordination between Lebanese security agencies and their Saudi counterparts, noting that Saudi Arabia played a vital and pivotal role in direct coordination between the security agencies.
