Khaberni - Telegram platform has launched a new set of features targeting content creators on its instant messaging application, to expand the creative capabilities of users on the platform.
These new features include live video streaming within stories, the ability to repeat scheduled messages, and an auction system for distributing digital gifts.
The company explained in a press release that the live streaming feature in stories (Live Stories) is available to all users, including groups and channels that have activated the story posting feature through boosts, where the broadcast can be displayed directly from the story section.
This feature allows real-time interaction with viewers, who can comment, pin their comments, and highlight them in colored bubbles in exchange for using stars, and they can also give stars to creators to support them.
A star counter appears at the bottom right of the host's screen, showing the number of stars received whether through donations or featured comments.
The live broadcasts have the same privacy settings available for regular stories, such as the "everyone", "contacts", "close friends", or "specific users" options, and creators can use external tools like OBS or XSplit via RTMP keys to broadcast using their usual settings.
Telegram also added the repeated messages feature (Repeated Messages) for scheduled messages, allowing users to set up messages and reminders that repeat at specific intervals, such as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
To set up a repeated message, one can press and hold the send button, select "schedule message", then press "repeat" and choose the time period.
As for the digital gifts feature (Telegram Gifts), which can be displayed on the profile or transferred to blockchain wallets, it received an update that ensures a fairer distribution through an auction system for rare items.
Users can submit their bids using stars, where the highest bidders in the first round receive the special gifts, and subsequent rounds continue for the rest of the participants until all items are depleted, with any unused stars being refunded.
Users can also participate multiple times by increasing their bids, and each auction is marked with an "Auction" logo, as the current bids are displayed allowing users to know the number of stars required to win the gift in each round.
