Khaberni - The head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Nimer Al-Sleihat, anticipated on Tuesday that the committee would finish discussing the General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2026, on the upcoming December 8, to present it under the dome of parliament for general discussion and voting.
The Parliamentary Finance Committee began discussing the general budget for the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Environment, Finance, and their respective departments today.
Al-Sleihat told "Khaberni" that all official bodies and departments to be discussed "will get their right" in the debate despite the intensification of the committee’s work, explaining that the committee has doubled its working hours from 6 hours to 12 hours, to the extent that it will operate during Saturdays.
He continued that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, has directed that "there should be quality and precision in the report, and professionalism in the analysis of the budget before approval."
