Poll Predicts Victory for FarRight Leader in French Presidency

Khaberni - A new poll by the French Odoxa Foundation reveals that far-right leader Jordan Bardella is clearly ahead of all his potential rivals in the 2027 presidential elections, in a scenario that is unprecedented since his party entered the French political scene decades ago.

According to the poll, which included 1000 participants and was conducted on November 19 and 20, Bardella would receive 35% to 36% of the votes in the first round. The results also suggest that he would surpass all his potential rivals in the second round.

The results showed that Bardella surpasses left-wing leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon by 74%, and former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe by 53%, although a previous poll this month showed him narrowly losing to Philippe.

Odoxa stated in its report, "Being the superior candidate months before the elections does not guarantee victory for Bardella, and fortunately for his rivals, the road is still long."

Bardella, 30, is seen as the political heir to French far-right leader Marine Le Pen, who was barred from running for five years after being convicted in a case of embezzlement, though she has appealed the ruling.

Bardella's popularity has surpassed that of Le Pen, positioning him as the natural candidate for the party should the ban on her be confirmed.
