Khaberni - The Agri Spor team, competing in the Turkish fourth division football league, is struggling to prepare its player roster amid an expanding betting scandal that is rapidly worsening.

Tekin Yousan, the vice president of the club, told the Turkish news agency "Anadolu" that the team is currently practicing with only 7 players, after 17 players were suspended on betting allegations.
He said, "Currently, the number of management and technical staff exceeds that of the players".
Yousan described the current period as "difficult" for the club and said that Agri Spor plans to bolster its depleted squad with players from the under-19 team.
The betting scandal has shaken Turkish football for weeks. In late October, the Turkish Football Federation revealed that there are 152 referees suspected of involvement in betting.
Since that time, the investigation has been expanded to include clubs and players, with 149 referees and over a thousand players suspended for investigations.
In the premier league, 27 players have been suspended so far, including many players from Galatasaray and Besiktas.
