Khaberni - The Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a training workshop titled "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Writing Research Papers and Theses", presented by Dr. Hudhaifah Riyad Al-Jawazneh, the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies. The workshop was attended by postgraduate students and faculty members from various colleges, which contributed to enriching the discussions and exchanging expertise on its subject.
The workshop was opened by Professor Dr. Reem Abdul Karim Abu Khalaf, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, with an introductory presentation about the deanery and its roles in serving postgraduate students, showcasing the most important services provided by its website, such as summaries of previous theses, student-specific forms, along with the dates and academic agenda organizing different stages of study.
During the workshop, Dr. Al-Jawazneh discussed the prominent applications and tools of artificial intelligence that support researchers, explaining their advantages and how to use them correctly and responsibly, enabling students to employ them in accomplishing their scientific work academically and ethically. He also emphasized the importance of dealing with these tools as aids, not substitutes, for the researcher's effort and role in preparing and crafting their research.
Dr. Al-Jawazneh also addressed the academic and ethical regulations related to using artificial intelligence in scientific research, clarifying what is allowed and what should be avoided in line with the standards of scientific integrity, and minimizing plagiarism.
The workshop concluded with enriching interactive discussions, during which the participants expressed their interest in enhancing their research skills through optimal use of artificial intelligence tools, contributing to improving the quality of research and dissertations at the university.
