Khaberni - There is no doubt that everyone is looking for ways to slow down aging or delay its onset by any means, as it is mostly the most searched on the Internet. Also, the recipes for "delaying aging signs" have become very widespread on search engines as well.
In this regard, a Russian expert summarized the issue of slowing down aging in just one process, but its effect in delaying the appearance of aging signs is very significant.
According to what Russian media reported about Professor Alexey Moskalov, director of the Institute of Biology of Aging, one of the simplest ways to slow down the aging process is to get a good amount of sleep, as he pointed out that insomnia or lack of sleep negatively affects general health and accelerates the appearance of aging signs.
Moskalov said that scientific studies have shown what happens if a person does not get enough sleep or has superficial sleep, which are two different things. He added: "A person can sleep fewer hours, but must have good deep sleep, preferably lasting two hours every night."
About tracking deep sleep, the Russian professor noted that it can be tracked using smart watches or fitness tracking devices, "because the body renews and repairs itself at night. During this stage, growth hormone is produced along with other hormones responsible for renewal."
According to gazeta.ru, Moskalov warned that regular deprivation of sleep or what he called "superficial sleep" speeds up the deterioration of the entire body over time.
Elevated blood sugar levels and underlying inflammation also contribute to the acceleration of aging, according to the Russian health expert.
He added by saying: "The risk of chronic diseases increases if the level of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) is higher than 2, which indicates an inflammatory type of aging." He confirmed that an increase in this indicator could lead to future problems in cardiovascular health, while a value of less than 0.5 is optimal.
Glycated hemoglobin is another important indicator, as it indicates the onset of diabetes. He added that this type of aging is affected by the reaction of glucose in the blood, as sugar makes the protein structure of the body more rigid, and this process is irreversible.
