Digital Economy 2 Million Citizens Activate Digital Identity

Khaberni - Samira Al-Zu'bi, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, said on Monday that 2 million Jordanian men and women have activated their digital identity, a step that reflects the evolution of the digital transformation in the kingdom.

Al-Zu'bi added in a statement to "Al-Mamlaka" channel on the margins of the workshops on the "Public Sector Modernization Roadmap," organized by the Prime Minister's Office and ongoing until Wednesday, that the first sessions focused on the component of services and government procedures, in addition to the component of data and emerging technologies.

Al-Zu'bi pointed out that 80% of the government services have been digitized, with plans to achieve 100% digitization of eligible services by 2026 out of a total of 2400 government services.

She confirmed that the number of government service centers will increase from 11 currently to 16 centers across all provinces by the end of 2025.

In another context, Al-Zu'bi noted that government services and procedures have been documented through the national platform, where 2300 services have been documented in both Arabic and English, in addition to 63 government institutions.
