Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, Mohammad Al-Ziyoud, revealed on Sunday that the ministry deported more than 5600 male and female foreign workers who violated legal provisions in recent months.
Al-Ziyoud stated in television statements that the ministry conducts ongoing inspection campaigns, affirming that it is unacceptable for non-Jordanian laborers to work on Jordanian soil illegally, according to the Kingdom.
Al-Ziyoud also mentioned that the ministry has contacted the ambassadors of the non-Jordanian workers' countries to ensure that the measures aim to protect the safety and health of the workers, regulate them, and educate them about Jordanian legal provisions.
He emphasized that the measures aim to curb violations in the non-Jordanian labor market, and the law will be applied to anyone proven to harbor or employ non-Jordanian labor, whether in homes or any other sector, in violation of the law.
