Khaberni - The President of Petra University, Professor Dr. Rami Abdul Rahim, received the head of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Jordan, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Latif Al-Jarallah, to discuss ways to enhance scientific and academic cooperation between the two sides.
Abdul Rahim confirmed that the visit reflects the depth of the brotherly relations between Jordan and Kuwait and represents an opportunity to enhance academic cooperation, pointing out that the university is proud of its history filled with Kuwaiti students who have been part of its journey and have left significant marks.
Abdul Rahim added that the university continues its journey towards excellence through a strategy that focuses on attracting teaching talents, developing scientific research, and obtaining prestigious international accreditations.
For his part, the President of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jarallah, praised the advanced level that Petra University has reached, and its development in facilities and infrastructure, as well as its prestigious academic reputation, confirming that this makes it an important partner in the journey of higher education. He added that he looks forward to exploring future cooperation prospects that serve the interests of students and enhance the educational relations between the two countries.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs at the university, Professor Dr. Maias Al-Raymawi, presented a presentation that reviewed the history and development of the university, pointing out that the university has achieved qualitative achievements in the fields of scientific research and patenting, and is currently focusing on expanding scholarship programs and increasing international accreditations.
Dr. Al-Jarallah’s visit included a tour of the university facilities, including the Center for Drug Studies, the dental college laboratories, the exhibitions of the College of Architecture and Design, the studios of the College of Media, the moot court in the College of Law, the sports facilities at the Dean of Student Affairs, and the control center in the Computer Center.
Attending the meeting on behalf of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office were: Academic Affairs Coordinator Dr. Ayman Al-Khalidi, and Dr. Basel Al-Tahat.
From Petra University, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Eyad Al-Mallah, the Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Faisal Abu Al-Rub, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Nasser Al-Jamal, the Assistant President for International Agreements and Cooperation, Dr. Kenza Mansour, and the Director of the Quality Assurance, Planning, and Measurement Unit, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qassem, and the Director of Public and International Relations, Ala Al-Din Arabiyat attended.
