Khaberni - The CEO of Orange Jordan, Engineer Philip Mansour, visited Yarmouk University during his tour in Irbid Governorate, where he was received by the University President Professor Dr. Malik Al-Sharairi, in a meeting attended by members of Orange’s executive committee and university representatives. This meeting aimed to enhance the strategic partnership and cooperation between the academic and private sectors and to support digital education and empower youth with future skills.

The CEO of Orange Jordan, Engineer Philip Mansour, congratulated the university president on his new position, wishing him success in leading the university towards more achievements, while also affirming that the partnership with Yarmouk University represents a real investment in the future of the kingdom and its youth. The Orange - Yarmouk Creative Lab (OYIL) launched over a decade ago, has so far enabled more than 260 students to acquire digital and practical skills qualifying them to confidently enter the labor market, reflecting Orange’s commitment to turning promises into reality and making a tangible positive impact on the community.

On his part, the President of the University Professor Dr. Malik Al-Sharairi affirmed Yarmouk University’s commitment to promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students, considering partnerships with the private sector as a strategic partner in achieving this goal. He expressed his appreciation for Orange’s role in supporting Orange - Yarmouk Creative Lab (OYIL), which has enabled hundreds of students with digital work methodologies and practical skills, confirming that the success of these initiatives clearly demonstrates the value of cooperation between the university and the private sector in transforming ideas into solutions that serve the society and economy. He added that the university is striving to expand the benefits to include a larger segment of youth in Irbid and neighboring governorates and is exploring the possibility of establishing an office for attracting and welcoming international students with its partners, to be a window for international cooperation and attract new talents to enrich the learning environment and exposure to opportunities, supporting the journey of digital transformation and innovation in the university.

At the conclusion of the visit, the CEO and accompanying members participated in a discussion session with a group of students from the Orange - Yarmouk Creative Lab (OYIL), during which they showcased their innovative projects reflecting the creativity of youth and their ability to develop digital solutions that support the digital transformation journey and contribute to serving the community.
