Khaberni - As part of Amman Arab University's efforts to enhance its international academic presence and strengthen its scientific partnerships, in compliance with the directives of the university president, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the university, participated in the Erasmus+ Mobility academic mobility program at West Attica University in Greece. This participation aligns with Amman Arab University's strategic orientation towards expanding its international collaborations and exploring joint work opportunities with European universities, particularly in the fields of engineering and sustainable energy.
The visit included a series of formal meetings with several senior officials at West Attica University, including: Professor Panagiotis E. Kaldis, the university president, Professor Stavros D. Kaminaris, the vice president, Professor Georgios A. Vokas, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a specialist in renewable energy applications, and Ms. Fani Papoutsi, the Erasmus+ Coordinator at the university, who was responsible for overseeing the details of the visit and coordinating its program.
Dr. Al-Assaf explained that the visit involved discussing opportunities for joint cooperation, including the development of research projects in the field of renewable energies, enhancing academic exchange programs for faculty and students, as well as discussing opportunities for initiating joint postgraduate programs between the two universities. Both parties emphasized the importance of the Erasmus+ program as a strategic platform for deepening university relationships and enhancing the research capabilities of the Engineering Faculty at Amman Arab University.
Dr. Al-Assaf expressed his pleasure with the visit, which represents a real launch towards a sustainable and fruitful partnership. He reaffirmed that Amman Arab University is keen on deepening international cooperation and expanding its academic and research projects through programs like Erasmus+, to support its students and faculty members. Officials from West Attica University welcomed this move, expressing their desire to expand cooperation frameworks with Amman Arab University, whether in terms of academic exchange or research projects in engineering and sustainable energy fields.
This visit reflects Amman Arab University’s commitment to enhancing its presence within the network of European universities, opening new horizons for scientific and research exchange that benefits its students and faculty members, and solidifying its standing in the international academic arena.
