Decision to Detain Egyptian Player Ramadan Sobhi

Khaberni - The Giza Criminal Court, Circuit 30, issued today, Saturday, a new and surprising decision in the case of official document forgery involving the Egyptian Pyramids player Ramadan Sobhi and three others, related to a tourism institute in the Abu Nomros area.

The court decided to postpone the examination of the case to next Tuesday, but the most notable decision issued was a direct order to "arrest the accused Ramadan Sobhi and detain him until the date of the new session," having him appear in the cage alongside the other detained defendants.

The court also emphasized the need to expedite the arrest of the fourth defendant who is absent from the sessions.

In the details of the session, the court ordered that the player, upon his arrival with his lawyer, be placed in the defendants' cage, along with the other defendants.

When the judge confronted the defendants with the charges stated in the referral order, player Sobhi and his colleagues denied all the accusations against them. When the judge asked about his profession, the player replied, "I am a football player."

It is worth mentioning that the case started when someone was caught taking exams instead of the player in May of the previous year, who later confessed to receiving a financial reward from Sobhi to take the exam on his behalf.

Previously, the prosecution had released the player on bail set at 100,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately $2,107.56).
