Khaberni - The head of the Sovereignty Council and the commander-in-chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, confirmed that the army will continue to fight against what he described as "the rebellion" without retreat.

His statements came during a visit he made today, Friday, to the city of Al Qutaynah in the White Nile state, where he met with citizens after the Friday prayers in the Grand Mosque.

Al-Burhan said that the armed forces and the supporting forces are determined to continue military operations until "every inch of the homeland is cleansed," according to his expression.

He also praised the roles played by the residents of Al Qutaynah in supporting the army, referring to the "symbolic" significance of the region in preparing fighters and supporting the armed forces.

According to the statement issued by the office of the official spokesman for the armed forces, Al-Burhan emphasized that the army is continuing the "journey" in which a number of the dead fell during the ongoing battles.

Sudanese military sources reported yesterday, Thursday, the advancement of the army and the joint forces west of Al-Obeid city in North Kordofan state.

The sources also added that the army launched raids on the Rapid Support Forces' positions west of Al-Obeid.
