Khaberni - Regular airlines have commenced their operations according to the winter season schedule 2025/2026 from and to Jordan, in a step that reflects the continuous growth in the aviation sector and reinforces the kingdom’s position as a regional hub contributing to the connection between East and West.
The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announced the issuance of operating licenses to 40 airlines that have initiated their operations during the winter season, including national, regional, and global carriers, noting that two additional companies are expected to join during the season, which will enhance the diversity of destinations and the increase in air traffic volume from and to the kingdom.
According to the data, these companies will operate approximately 996 flights weekly through various airports of the kingdom, providing passengers with wider options and greater facilities in travel.
According to operational figures, foreign airlines will connect the kingdom to 28 countries through 66 air segments, including new European, Asian, and regional destinations, while national airlines will connect the kingdom to 31 countries through 55 air segments, supporting the national carrier's role in enhancing air, commercial, and touristic connectivity.
These numbers indicate a noticeable expansion in the network of destinations compared to previous seasons, with an increase in the number of international partners and regular flights, in line with the growing demand for travel from and to Jordan.
As for air cargo, 5 companies will commence operating specialized cargo flights connecting the kingdom with 11 countries through 18 weekly flights, enhancing the fluidity in the movement of goods, supporting Jordanian exports, and providing industrial and commercial companies with more flexible and effective logistical options.
The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission affirmed the readiness of Jordanian airports to receive the expected increase in air traffic during the winter season, continuing to improve the technical and ground services rendered to passengers and aircraft, and applying the highest standards of aviation safety.
The Commission pointed out that air traffic is expected to rise further with the opening of Amman Civil Airport, where many airlines have expressed interest in operating their flights through it, enhancing the capacity and elevating the level of air connectivity for the kingdom.
The launch of the winter season schedule is part of the efforts to enhance the kingdom's air connectivity, support the tourism and trade sectors, and provide diverse alternatives for travelers from and to Jordan through an extensive and growing air network.
