Khaberni - The representative of the World Health Organization in Palestine, Rick Peeperkorn, announced that more than 16,500 Palestinian patients still need medical evacuation from the Gaza Strip. He was quoted by Anadolu Agency at a press conference in Geneva, stating that of the 36 hospitals in Gaza, only half are partially operational, and since the ceasefire began, 26 points for healthcare services have been reopened, and 8 new points have been established.
Peeperkorn pointed out that since the ceasefire began, the World Health Organization has managed to deliver 2,050 parcels of medical supplies to Gaza, adding that 343 types out of 622 essential drugs at the Palestinian Ministry of Health have now reached a completely depleted stock level.
