Khaberni - The roster of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup Finals is nearing completion, with qualifications ending in more than one continent.
The 2026 World Cup will be held next year in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, marking the first edition to be held in 3 countries, and also the first to feature 48 teams.
So far, 42 teams have secured their direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup, while 6 spots will be decided in March, with 4 from Europe and 2 from the global playoff involving 6 teams from the rest of the continents.
After a significant part of the qualification process, it is confirmed that several stars will miss the World Cup taking place next summer, following their teams' failure to qualify.
Following is the lineup of the most expensive stars missing from the 2026 World Cup, according to data from the "Transfermarkt" website, which specializes in determining the market value of players.
The lineup includes the Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, valued at 30 million euros.
In defense, four players appear: the Nigerian Ola Aina (22 million euros), the Serbian Nikola Milenkovic (35 million euros), the Burkinabe Edmond Tapsoba (35 million euros), and the Hungarian Milos Kerkez (45 million euros).
In midfield, the duo consists of the Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai (65 million euros) and the Cameroonian Carlos Baleba (60 million euros).
In the forward line, four players appear: the Cameroonian Bryan Mbeumo (70 million euros), the Guinean Serhou Guirassy (45 million euros), alongside the Nigerian Victor Osimhen (75 million euros), and the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who is valued at 90 million euros, making him the most expensive player in this lineup.
