Khaberni - "Yedioth Ahronoth" newspaper revealed today, Friday, a website that focuses on publishing serious threats, and calls for the pursuit and killing of prominent Israeli academics, scientists, and researchers, offering huge financial rewards.
The website, named "Movement for Punishment for Justice," calls for accountability of a prominent list of Israeli academics and researchers, under the titles "criminals and collaborators with the occupation army", and "promoters of weapons of mass destruction for the Israeli army", and "involved in killing Palestinian children".
"Yedioth Ahronoth" says that the website, which appears to be managed from the United States or another Western country, includes explicit calls for the punishment of the researchers listed, offering financial rewards to those who carry out the acts, also providing contact details with local representatives, an unprecedented move in terms of the extent and clarity of these threats.
The website's text includes the following statement: "Instead of using science to serve humanity, these murderers use their knowledge to kill innocent people and children by supplying the Israeli army with weapons of mass destruction, all these persons received warnings in recent months to stop their criminal activities, and when they refused, they were chosen as legitimate targets."
The site highlights the names and photos of dozens of prominent Israeli researchers in the fields of chemistry, physics, engineering, and medicine, some of them known for their connection to the weapons industry.
The site also includes other details related to these researchers, such as address, ID card, and phone number, and in other cases, passport photos and U.S. visas for the Israeli academics have been published.
Among the list of "assassinations" highlighted on the site are high-level researchers accused of killing Palestinian children, including Professor Dani Haymovich, President of Ben-Gurion University and Chairman of the University Presidents Committee, Professor Daniel Zajfman, President of the National Science Foundation, Professor Eliezer Rabinovich from the Hebrew University, one of the world's most famous nuclear physicists, Professor Eli Sari from the Soreq Nuclear Research Center, and Professor Erez Etzion, head of the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics at Tel Aviv University.
The site expressly invites armed groups and non-governmental organizations to participate in punishing the scientists, promising huge financial rewards for the implementers, and it addresses Israelis, inviting them to contribute to "stopping the bloodshed" in exchange for double rewards.
Among the examples reported, the site offers a cash reward of 2000 U.S. dollars to anyone who hangs banners outside the house of the prominent Israeli physicist Sheikma Bressler, 20,000 U.S. dollars for those who burn her car and house, and 100,000 dollars for "eliminating the target".
