Fans face the risk of missing World Cup matches

Khaberni - Haiti and Iran stand out among 42 countries whose teams have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup to be held in the United States, because their sports delegations will be able to enter the country despite the travel ban that prevents citizens of certain countries from entering the US territory. However, many fans will face difficulties in accompanying their teams in the stands.

The proclamation by U.S. President Donald Trump states that the travel ban excludes "any athlete or sports team member, including coaches and individuals performing necessary support work and immediate relatives, who are traveling to attend the World Cup or the Olympic Games or any other major sporting event." However, according to the current decree, many fans from Haiti and Iran will face issues traveling to the United States to support their teams.

The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, from June 11 to July 19, and will feature 48 teams for the first time.

The draw for the group stage is scheduled for December 5 in Washington D.C.
