Crown Prince Visits Aquatic CounterTerrorism Team

Khaberni - His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, visited the royal special forces' Aquatic Counter-Terrorism Team today, Thursday.

His Highness the Crown Prince listened to a briefing presented by the team leader about the team’s missions and duties and reviewed the team's training and achievements.

His Highness emphasized the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of combat readiness in the field of maritime counter-terrorism.

His Highness the Crown Prince was briefed on specialized training programs, the latest updates on maritime operations, and plans for securing vital and aquatic facilities in partnership with formations of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army and security agencies.

His Highness also visited an exhibition of equipment and vehicles that were recently put into service.

His Highness the Crown Prince followed a presentation that included scenarios of counter-infiltration, ship detention, and boarding operations, demonstrating high efficiency, speed, and precision by the participants.

The exercise included combat diving skills, underwater infiltration techniques, ship control, and rapid deployment operations supported by Royal Air Force aircraft.

The exercise targeted handling moving maritime targets and executing night-time missions using the latest monitoring and navigation equipment in various weather conditions.
