Khaberni - The Hashemite Charity of Jordan inaugurated the food security project on Thursday by distributing 500 tons of dates across all the governorates of the kingdom.
Planning and Programs Director at the Charity, Marwan Al-Hanawi, told "Al-Mamlaka" that this project targets needy Jordanian families in coordination with the National Aid Fund, in addition to Palestinian refugees through cooperation with the Palestinian Affairs Department.
Al-Hanawi emphasized that this project is not the first and will not be the last with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, adding that there is an ongoing partnership and strategy between the Hashemite Charity of Jordan and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
He noted that there are several ongoing projects currently with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
Al-Hanawi said: "We are on the verge of winter, and soon we will be launching a project to distribute clothing coupons to Jordanian families and refugees in the kingdom."
He explained that there is a project at the King Salman Center’s clinics in the Zaatari camp, where the reception of aid coming from the center to Syria is facilitated.
He affirmed the cooperation between the Charity and the King Salman Center regarding the aid received and sent through the Jordanian relief pathway to the Gaza Strip.

He explained that the Charity’s projects, directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, have been ongoing in Gaza since the war began in 2023, and continue to send aid, despite the closures at the crossings, yet the Hashemite Charity of Jordan is implementing projects within the sector, including water distribution, bread distribution, and hot meals distribution in most areas of Gaza: north, central, and south, in cooperation with international organizations and local partners inside the Gaza Strip, confirming that "the aid from the Charity has not stopped and will not stop."
