Khaberni - The Media Authority has decided to adopt the Jordanian Association of Travel and Tourism Offices as the official and exclusive entity to speak on behalf of travel and tourism offices and companies in the kingdom, in a circular addressed to various media outlets.
The decision stated that the Association, formed under the Tourism Law and its amendments, possesses the legal status that authorizes it to represent the sector and issue statements concerning it, meaning that no members of the General Assembly are allowed to make statements or address official entities individually without referring back to the Association's board and obtaining prior approval.
The Authority emphasized that any individual statements that do not represent the Association are considered a personal responsibility of the issuer, with the Association reserving the right to take necessary legal actions.
The Media Authority invited media outlets to comply with adopting the Association as the sole and official source for information related to the travel and tourism sector, confirming the possibility to contact the president of the Association for inquiries at the number: (0798979546).
