Khaberni - The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by several of his ministers and security agency leaders, visited the Golan Heights in occupied Syrian territory today, Wednesday, and then crossed into the buffer zone in southern Syria.
Netanyahu was accompanied by his Security Minister Yisrael Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Head of the General Security Service (Shabak) David Ze'evi, and the Head of the National Security Council.
This tour comes after Netanyahu requested to postpone his trial today due to a "sensitive matter".
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Netanyahu and Katz’s tour in Syrian territory is part of the American efforts to sign a security agreement between Israel and Syria.
