The media spokesperson for the General Security Directorate stated that the girl, aged 6, was taken from her home in one of the areas of the Northern Badia to the hospital on Tuesday and soon after, she passed away.
The media spokesperson confirmed that medical reports and investigations proved she had been subjected to beating that led to her death; consequently, her father was arrested and confessed to beating her.
The case was referred to the judiciary and he was detained at one of the reform and rehabilitation centers on the charge of premeditated murder.
