Khaberni - U.S. House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene said the House might unanimously approve on Tuesday a bill that would allow the release of materials from the case of Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of trafficking minors sexually.
The congresswoman added in a talk to reporters at the Capitol building before the planned vote later: "Most likely, you will witness today a unanimous vote in the House of Representatives to release Epstein's documents. But the real battle will come after their release."
Taylor Greene noted that she wants every name mentioned in the Epstein case by the federal authorities, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the judges to be published.
She said: "All this information must be presented; this is the real test of transparency."
Public interest in the Epstein case has recently reemerged in the United States, as the Donald Trump administration has failed to deliver new documents about the case despite earlier promises to release the files and lift their confidential status.
Epstein was accused in 2019 of trafficking and sexually exploiting minors, with charges involving relationships with dozens of underage girls at his residences in New York and Florida, some of whom were as young as 14. He was found dead in his cell in July 2019, days after his arrest, and the investigations then concluded that he had committed suicide.
