Khaberni - The Association of Information Technology and Communications Companies "Intaj" announced that it is organizing, in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Syrian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Jordanian-Syrian Conference for Information Technology and Communications to be held in Damascus next Friday.
According to a press release issued by Intaj, the conference aims to enhance cooperation between the communications and information technology sectors in both countries, by networking representatives from about 75 Jordanian companies with their counterparts from Syrian organizations and companies, to discuss investment opportunities and expand partnerships in areas of digital transformation, cybersecurity, electronic financial services, artificial intelligence, and advanced software solutions.
The event is expected to see a broad attendance from representatives of both the public and private sectors in the two countries, along with senior officials and decision-makers in the fields of digital economy and technology, which will enhance technical cooperation and deepen Jordanian-Syrian relations.
The chairman of the board at the "Intaj" Association, Fadi Qutaishat, said in the statement that the conference comes at a stage where the Syrian market is witnessing rapid economic and technological transformations, making it an important platform for rebuilding genuine Arab partnerships in the digital field.
Qutaishat confirmed that Jordan possesses advanced expertise in software development, electronic financial services, cybersecurity, educational technology, and digital transformation, capabilities that qualify it to contribute effectively to the digital development journey in Syria.
He mentioned that Jordanian companies enjoy a robust regional reputation due to their efficiency and professionalism, stressing that integration with the Syrian market represents a strategic opportunity to open broader cooperation horizons, transfer knowledge, and expand business operations.
Qutaishat concluded his statement by saying that the "Intaj" Association continues to enable Jordanian companies to reach new markets, and build sustainable partnerships that enhance the Arab digital economy and pathways of innovation and mutual growth.
