Khaberni - Jordan Hospital began its celebrations for the thirtieth anniversary of its establishment by organizing a variety of medical, social, and cultural activities and events.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Bashir, the General Manager, confirmed that Jordan Hospital has become a medical monument recognized regionally and globally over the past thirty years. It has achieved a position and reputation through its accomplishments in providing comprehensive medical services, surgical programs, and specialized medical centers, in addition to having the latest diagnostic radiology and laboratory procedures and the most advanced emergency department in the kingdom established in collaboration with George Washington University.
Dr. Bashir mentioned that the hospital is poised for more achievements in the field of medical and surgical programs and medical education sectors. Recognized as a teaching hospital by the Jordanian and Arab Medical Council for Specialties and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission, it has graduated 750 specialist doctors from its residency programs and currently hosts 120 resident doctors in various medical specialties.
The hospital began accepting medical students from Ibn Sina University to implement clinical care programs at the hospital, benefiting from Jordan Hospital’s status in the field of ongoing medical training and education and recognition by the Arab and Jordanian Medical Council. The Jordan Hospital's year-long celebration includes international scientific meetings with partners from George Washington, Toledo, and Texas universities, various medical activities, and a bundle of free medical days across all provinces of the kingdom, as well as a special event to display the hospital's achievements over three decades and the new programs it is planning to launch soon.
Jordan Hospital was a pioneer in many of its leading initiatives, being the first private hospital to successfully conduct liver transplants and programs for organ transplantation, general surgery, cardiac and vascular surgery, brain and neurological surgery, endoscopic procedures, kidney and urological surgeries, as well as ENT, ophthalmology surgeries and much more. The hospital marked the first Arab achievement in therapeutic catheterization, positioning it as the most contributing hospital in medical tourism for the kingdom.
It is noted that Jordan Hospital, which currently hosts groups of injured from Gaza, had treated a large number of casualties from the Palestinian Intifada and dealt professionally with victims from unfortunate incidents in Amman, participating in the national emergency plan called by His Majesty and was the first hospital to establish an emergency and evacuation helipad for serving many other centers.
During the hospital's celebration, pioneers among doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff will be honored.
The hospital had been associated with a select group of doctors and surgeons recognized for their reputable and esteemed medical stature regionally and globally.
