Khaberni - The Vice President of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, Professor Dr. Tareq Al-Qurum, signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants (JACPA), Professor Hussam Rahhal, during an official visit to the university by the Association President, and Professor Hatem Al-Qawasmi, the executive partner of the global auditing firm (KPMG) in Jordan, the former President of the Association, and a current member of its board, with the presence of the Dean of the Business College, Professor Dr. Abdul Razaq Shehadeh.
The memorandum aims to enhance the partnership and sustainable cooperation between the university and the association in the fields of accounting education, professional training, and the development of accounting and auditing practices. The memorandum includes providing field training opportunities for accounting students, implementing joint initiatives for academic and professional development, supporting employment opportunities for graduates, cooperating in the development of curricula that keep up with local and international professional standards, and organizing specialized lectures and workshops presented by the Association's experts.
During the signing ceremony, both parties emphasized the importance of linking university education with the professional sector and providing students with the skills required for the job market, along with encouraging them to obtain locally and internationally recognized professional certifications.
