Khaberni - An explosion occurred in a home in the Chino Hills suburb of Southern California, resulting in injuries to eight people and damage to two neighboring homes, while firefighters evacuated a total of 16 homes.
The Chino Hills firefighters have not clarified the cause of the explosion that happened on Sunday, but they indicated that a gas leak was halted, and photos and videos from the scene showed that the house was reduced to rubble.
The Chino Valley Fire Department stated on its website that "teams will remain at the scene to continue restoration work and investigation."
The fire department reported that four people were transported from the home to the hospital, while four others went to the hospital by themselves; their immediate health condition was unknown.
KABC-TV reported that witnesses said they saw people, including children screaming for help, running away from the exploded home, and later, people whose homes were not damaged were allowed to return.
