Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the arrest of a person in an abnormal state accused of damaging several vehicles in the Salmiya area.
The ministry mentioned that the security directorates sector, represented by the Hwouli governorate security directorate operations and patrols management, managed to arrest a person shown in a video circulating on some social media sites while damaging several parked vehicles in the Salmiya area.
It added that, upon monitoring the video and receiving the report, a support force was directed to the location.
The ministry reported that upon the arrival of the force, the concerned person was seen in an "abnormal state," carrying a scythe and an iron rod, and had damaged 7 vehicles by breaking their windows.
It noted that the security personnel managed to control him and detain him by force due to his aggressive behavior.
The accused was referred to the Salmiya police station to take the necessary legal actions, and the owners of the damaged vehicles were directed to review the station to complete the procedures.
The ministry stressed in its statement the continuation of its immediate and firm handling of anyone who tampers with public or private property, in order to preserve community security and the safety of citizens and residents.
