Khaberni - Deputy Dima Tahboub confirmed that the military service bill came at an appropriate time and reflects the state's interest in preparing and protecting its youth, emphasizing the need to deter any attempt to insult Jordan.
Tahboub said during her speech: "Anyone who looks at Jordan with an evil eye, we will gouge out both his eyes," affirming that the message is clear during a critical time, and attributing this to the spirit of the Battle of Karameh, which embodied the unity of the Jordanian people in defending their country.
She added that many of her colleagues have worn the military uniform and recognize its value as a factory for masculinity and a shield for the nation, noting that the call for legislating military service has met with wide acceptance and respect from various sectors of the population.
The deputy suggested supporting this initiative, considering military service as a real investment in the youth of Jordan, and stressing the importance of developing appropriate programs for females to participate in military service, in line with the vision of His Majesty that links the future of Jordan with the preparation and empowerment of youth.
