Khaberni - The security system in Tel Aviv is moving towards a risky escalation on the northern front, where Channel 13 in Hebrew reported that this system is moving towards recommending a war against Lebanon which could extend for days.
This stance is attributed to the demand for the disarmament of Hezbollah and Israeli claims about the group rebuilding its forces.
These assessments come at a time concurrent with sharp comments made by the Chief of Staff of the occupation army, Eyal Zamir, where he confirmed the army's readiness to carry out a wide ground attack in the Gaza Strip if ordered to do so.
Zamir clarified: "Simultaneously with the current operation, if asked, we must be ready to quickly shift to a wide attack to take control of areas in the Gaza Strip beyond the other side of the yellow line."
Violations of the wall and assaults on "UNIFIL"
Israeli actions in southern Lebanon are causing increasing fears of a new war. Israel continues daily violations, and for days has been involved in additional wall construction in the area.
The international emergency forces working in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) previously reported that part of this construction exceeded the blue line southeast of the town of Yaroun.
In a serious development, UNIFIL forces were subjected to direct gunfire by the Israeli forces on Sunday, which the mission described as a serious violation of Security Council Resolution No. (1701).
UNIFIL issued a statement, stating: "This morning, a Merkava tank belonging to the Israeli occupation army fired at peacekeeping forces near a site set up by Israel inside Lebanese territory."
The statement noted that heavy machine-gun bullets hit the peacekeeping forces about five meters away, forcing the foot soldiers to take shelter in the area.
