Khaberni - The field crews of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing dealt with 80 reports since the kingdom started being affected by the weather depression, according to the ministry's emergency operations director Khalid Al-Jazzazi.

Al-Jazzazi said that the ministry’s teams handled 50 reports on Thursday and Friday, while they dealt with 30 reports today, confirming that the ministry's teams responded to all reports and complaints.

He noted that all the observations dealt with were routine under such weather conditions, and there was no dealing with any observation due to rising water levels or any observation that affected the smooth flow of traffic on the roads.

Al-Jazzazi explained that the most notable complaints and observations received by the ministry revolved around the erosions caused by rainwater on the roads and the accumulation of water at the entrances of culverts due to sediment buildup.

He confirmed that the ministry had worked to open all culverts and water installations and infrastructure a short while ago, where 3900 culverts were opened across various parts of the kingdom within the jurisdiction of the ministry, indicating that the ministry did not receive any complaints or reports related to these culverts.

About the condition of the roads under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Works, the ministry noted that all roads under jurisdiction are passable and no obstacle that led to their closure was dealt with during the prevailing weather conditions, pointing out that its field crews distributed across all regions of the kingdom continuously conduct field inspection tours to ensure continuity of services provided to the citizens and to address observations immediately.
