Khaberni - The head of the National Guidance and Media Parliamentary Committee, Dr. Hussein Al-Amoush, called on Jafar Hassan's government to form a specialized technical committee to ascertain the real reasons that led to the death of several citizens recently due to the use of a type of gas heaters, following warnings issued by the General Security Directorate.
Al-Amoush confirmed in a press statement Khaberni that the recurrence of such painful incidents necessitates an urgent and responsible government action, which includes investigating the compliance of these heaters with approved standards and specifications, and holding accountable any party found negligent or responsible for circulating unsafe products in the market.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing oversight over importers and traders, and intensifying awareness campaigns to inform the citizens Khaberni about the dangers of using unsafe heating methods, especially in enclosed spaces, to preserve the lives and safety of the citizens.
Al-Amoush called on the government to announce the results of the investigation transparently to the public and to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from recurring, affirming that the safety of citizens must be at the top of the national priorities.
