Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Department for Drug Control, announced today, Thursday, the arrest of six suspects in 4 different cases in possession of approximately 12.8 kilograms of narcotics and psychotropic substances, in addition to a firearm.
The ministry said in a press statement that the General Department for Drug Control managed to deliver several quality strikes in a number of areas as part of its ongoing security efforts to combat the drug menace, indicating that all the suspects and confiscated items have been referred to the competent authorities for taking necessary legal actions against them.
It confirmed the continuation of its intensive security campaigns in various parts of the country to pursue drug dealers and promoters and to arrest anyone daring to compromise the security of the society.
It added that field efforts continue around the clock to dry up the sources of drugs and strike dens of promoters to preserve the security of the homeland and the safety of citizens and residents, and to protect generations from the dangers of this destructive menace.
