Khaberni - Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Widian, President of Amman Arab University, and under the supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs in the university, and stemming from the university's pioneering role in spreading awareness and enhancing community security among its students, Amman Arab University organized the open awareness day, which was launched by the Directorate of Public Security at Jordanian universities, in cooperation with the Community Police / Al Ain Al Basha Brigade.

In this regard, Dr. Mohammed Bin Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of this day in consolidating the concept of community peace, raising awareness about the dangers of university violence and the scourge of drugs, noting that the university is keen to provide a safe and comprehensive environment that enhances students' awareness and instills in them values of tolerance, belonging, and responsibility. He added that Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Public Security and Community Police, will continue to organize such events that aim to enhance security culture and prevent negative behaviors, affirming that the awareness of youth is the first line of defense in protecting the community from various challenges.

The awareness day included a set of important security and awareness topics presented by a group of officers from the Directorate of Public Security, focusing on issues that affect the reality of students and the community and contribute to raising their level of awareness and responsibility. Major Qasem Rabihat addressed the first topic about criminal record registration, explaining its concept, types, and how to deal with it, and highlighting its direct impact on individuals' futures and their practical and social opportunities, urging students to abide by the laws and avoid behaviors that could negatively impact their careers. As for the second topic concerning community peace and fighting extremism and university violence, Captain Saddam Al-Abadi spoke about the importance of promoting a culture of dialogue and tolerance within the university campus, affirming that community peace is a pillar of national cohesion and a basis for progress, and that violence does not build societies but destroys them. In turn, Captain Zaid Al-Abdallat covered the third topic on cybercrimes, shedding light on the most prominent forms and dangers of unsafe use of social media, emphasizing the importance of digital awareness and electronic responsibility in the face of rapid technological advancements. The topics concluded with the fourth topic presented by Lieutenant Khaled Al-Mahsiri on the scourge of drugs, describing it as "the silent danger that robs minds and destroys the energies of youth," explaining modern methods of its promotion and ways to prevent it, and confirming that awareness and knowledge are the strongest weapons to confront it and protect the community from its destructive effects.

The open awareness day also saw participation from Major Mohammed Al-Quraan, head of the Community Police Department in the Central Region, Captain Abdullah Al-Kharabsha, head of the Community Police Branch in Al Balqa Governorate, and Captain Hanadi Kalloub representative of the Public Security Radio, who emphasized the importance of partnerships between universities and the Directorate of Public Security in enhancing intellectual and community security among youth.

At the end of the event, Amman Arab University and the Dean of Student Affairs reiterated their continued cooperation with the Directorate of Public Security and Community Police in implementing awareness programs and seminars that contribute to building aware, balanced, and actively participating students in serving their homeland and community.
