Shocking Video Train Passengers Experience Moments of Horror Due to the Drivers Nap

Khaberni - A shocking video, circulated in the United States, has stunned viewers after it showed a San Francisco train driver napping while driving, causing terrifying moments for passengers who fell to the ground amid screams and collective panic.

The video, broadcast by "KRON4" American channel, shows the Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA) driver bent over the steering wheel, as the train speeds through the "Sunset" tunnel towards Duboce Park at over 50 miles per hour, before making a sharp turn that nearly led to a disaster, as a car narrowly escaped colliding with it.

During those moments, covered by the "New York Post", passengers lost their balance and some fell to the ground, while screams echoed inside the carriages, where a woman's voice was heard screaming: "I want to get off!", and another shouting: "Oh my God!" in a scene described by the passengers as "the toughest moments of their lives".

Sudden jolt
The sudden jolt woke up the driver who quickly regained control of the train and stopped, then tried to calm the passengers by saying: "Calm down, we didn't crash.. I'm sorry, relax".

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, one of the passengers suffered a concussion due to the fall, while the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency confirmed the investigation did not reveal any technical defect in the train or the track, indicating that the accident was due to the driver's fatigue.

Exclusion and investigation
In an official statement, the agency said the train "experienced a series of sudden jolts while traveling at excessive speed," adding that the driver was temporarily excluded from driving in accordance with applicable protocols.

For her part, the director of the Transportation Agency, Julie Kirschbaum, described the incident as "unacceptable," emphasizing that "safety is our top priority, and this incident is being treated very seriously to ensure it does not recur".
