Jordan How much are the estimated treasury losses from Haifas concert exemption

Khaberni - Special
A tax expert estimated the treasury losses from the exemptions of Haifa Wehbe and Fares Karam's concert to be between $150,000-200,000.
The source told Khaberni website that with the concert's budget rising to about Khaberni $1.5 million, the treasury losses would elevate to $200,000 (approximately 140,000 dinars).
The expert explained that the philosophy of the exemption relies on Khaberni encouraging tourism and increasing hotel bookings, Khaberni but it overlooked what could be earned from such concerts, given the absence of a tourist destination capable of hosting Khaberni a concert in the region due to the political stability enjoyed by Jordan.
The expert said that the government must balance granting such exemption by the Khaberni Ministry of Finance, and how it deals with the citizen or the small investor in Jordan regarding the collection of taxes and fees.
On Tuesday, the Parliament began discussing the budget law of Jordan for the year 2026, which is expected to have a deficit exceeding two billion dinars.
