AlAhliyya Amman University Participates in the Annual ArabAsian Biotechnology Conference

Khaberni - The College of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its Dean Dr. Rasha Tarawneh, participated in the Annual Arab-Asian Biotechnology Conference, which was organized by the Arab Society for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at the National Research Center, in collaboration with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and in strategic partnership with Al-Ahliyya Amman University, under the theme "Biotechnology for Arid Environments and Sustaining Life in Arid Regions".
Dr. Tarawneh, speaking on behalf of the university president Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, affirmed the university's commitment to providing a scientific and academic environment aimed at preparing a generation capable of addressing research challenges and seizing opportunities to develop scientific research frameworks and enhance international cooperation.
The conference aimed to discuss ways to achieve sustainability and adapt life in arid and semi-arid environments in the Arab region, in addition to addressing the challenges of climate change and food insecurity facing the world.
Participants in the conference and its research included a number of Arab and Asian universities and scientific institutions, among them Al-Ahliyya Amman University which was represented by the College of Agricultural Technology with two scientific researches presented by Dr. Rasha Tarawneh and Dr. Murad Al-Maaytah.
The conference concluded with an emphasis on the importance of innovations in desert biotechnology, enhancing international research cooperation, and building bridges of Arab-Asian scientific communication, as fundamental pillars for achieving sustainable development and addressing climate and food security challenges.
