Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan participated in the events of the Tera Brain3 conference under the title "Creativity and Innovation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", which was held at the Amman Chamber of Industry with the participation of a group of experts and entrepreneurs and innovators from various governorates of the Kingdom.
Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Professor Ayesh Al-Haroub emphasized that the university's participation in this event represents an extension of its mission to integrate academic education with practical innovation, pointing out that the faculty aims to prepare a university generation capable of producing knowledge rather than consuming it, and using technology as a tool for development and resurgence.
Haroub added that the university believes that entrepreneurship starts from the classroom, where education transforms from rote learning to creativity, and from knowledge to impact, pointing out the university's commitment to ensuring that each student project is a true success story that inspires the community and contributes to change-making. He also pointed to the university's confident progression towards updating its academic programs to include the latest applications of artificial intelligence and data analysis, and enhancing partnerships with industrial and technological institutions, stemming from a national vision that considers innovation a fundamental driver for sustainable development.
On his part, Dr. Bilal Al-Wadi, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the university and the CEO of the Jordanian Association for Entrepreneurship, who participated as a speaker in the main session titled "Entrepreneurship and Innovation: From Idea to Investment", stated that the conference formed a unique national platform for exchanging experiences and visions among youth, thinkers, and owners of entrepreneurial projects, confirming that such meetings highlight Jordan's emerging status as an environment conducive to entrepreneurship and innovation.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Wadi presented a series of inspiring guidelines for young entrepreneurs, urging them to embrace the philosophy of calculated risk-taking, to not wait for opportunities but to create them by understanding market needs and employing artificial intelligence technologies and digital transformation as strategic tools for launching their projects. He emphasized that true entrepreneurship lies in creating new value that serves humanity and the community, and that an idea is only complete when it is transformed into a model that makes a tangible difference in people's lives.
As part of the conference events, university students Bashar Mohammed Adib Presenter, Mazen Dimitri Qutina, and Aseel Ibrahim Manoon presented an innovative entrepreneurial project titled "Your Move", redefining the use of motion capture technology in entertainment, sports, and physical therapy fields through developing an affordable local system for high-precision motion analysis.
The students presented their project in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Youth, with the attendance of Professor Yazan Abdul Ghani, supervisor of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the faculty, where the project received widespread acclaim for its advanced applied thinking that combines technology and creativity.
The "Your Move" project truly represents the image of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan students as a model for youth capable of harnessing technology to serve humanity and the community, and solidifying the university's position as a national incubator for innovation, and a home for entrepreneurial minds that are reshaping the future of Jordan with confidence and ambition.
