Khaberni - Media reports revealed exciting details about the behind-the-scenes of Lionel Messi's visit to Camp Nou Stadium.
The British newspaper The Athletic reported from Spanish sources that the city of Barcelona has witnessed one of the most controversial moments in the Argentine star's career in the past few hours after he made a surprise and secret visit to Camp Nou, a move that puzzled the club's management and sparked a wide wave of speculation about the possibility of his return to the Catalan team.
It explained: "The story began on Sunday evening, when a private plane from Miami landed at Barcelona Airport at two thirty in the afternoon, carrying Messi along with his teammate from the Argentine national team Rodrigo De Paul and his family members."
It added: "Despite owning a home in Castelldefels, the Argentine star preferred to stay at the 'Princesa Sofia' hotel overlooking Camp Nou, where he was accompanied by his close friend Pepe Costa, who accompanied him throughout the trip."
It continued: "That night, Messi went out for dinner with De Paul at one of the city's most famous restaurants, before they both headed late to Camp Nou, where the visit was carried out in complete secrecy, as no official in Barcelona was aware of it, and it is still not known who allowed him to enter the stadium."
Some reports indicated that the visit was conducted on a completely personal basis, away from any official coordination.
Lionel Messi posted the next morning on his Instagram account a group of photos from inside Camp Nou, accompanied by a mysterious message talking about "hope" for a return to Barcelona that is "more than just a farewell", as these words increased the mystery around the player's intentions, especially since it coincided with his presence in the city for the first time since his painful departure from the club in the summer of 2021."
According to Spanish reports, Messi's trip was very short, lasting no more than 24 hours, and included two flights on private planes between Miami and Barcelona and then to Alicante, where he then joined the Argentine national team camp in preparation for the upcoming international matches.
