Khaberni - A circulating video on social media sites in Iraq has caused a broad wave of controversy after a little girl was seen driving a speeding car on city roads midst loud folk songs.
The video, which went viral on social media after media commentary, gathered more than 11 thousand views within 17 hours, and showed the girl sitting behind the wheel recklessly, while her father appeared unconcerned about the scene, which triggered severe criticisms from viewers.
The scene caused displeasure among many Iraqis who described the behavior as blatant recklessness with people's lives, emphasizing that the problem is not only with the girl but also with a lack of awareness and upbringing among some parents.
Some comments emphasized that the absence of supervision and accountability, along with the weak enforcement of traffic laws, contributed to the spread of these dangerous behaviors, pointing out that this behavior could lead to disasters on the road if not seriously addressed.
Other users pointed out that the girl seemed to be holding the steering wheel as if it were a toy, while others viewed it as a direct reflection of the parenting style within the family and questioned the legal responsibility in case of an accident, considering that the lack of traffic awareness and parental control increases the likelihood of tragic accidents.
