Khaberni - Hundreds of Jordanians participated today, Monday, in the funeral of the Egyptian scholar and preacher, Dr. Zaghloul El-Naggar, in the capital, Amman.
A large crowd of mourners performed the funeral prayer for the deceased at Abu Aisha Mosque, before his body was buried in the cemetery of Um Al-Qutain in the Naour district.
Dr. El-Naggar passed away in Jordan yesterday, Sunday, at the age of 92, after a long scholarly and preaching career that spanned over decades.
The deceased was one of the most prominent scholars who worked on demonstrating the scientific miracles in the Holy Quran and linking them with modern sciences, in a rigorous scientific and methodological manner.
He also left a significant mark in the field of Quranic studies and scientific miracles through dozens of publications and lectures in various countries around the world, held several academic positions within and outside Egypt, and was an active member of a number of scientific and preaching institutions.
